I always try to preserve the great beauty of the environment that surrounds us and improving the work done by God.
Therefore, three years ago we have introduced the breeding of purebred criollo horses. Today, it is a real pleasure to see those used for the daily work and admire their features and coats.
We have purchased horses and sometimes bred mares from Don Antonio, La Guanaca, La Nicolasa, El Madrigal, etc. We also have a black lock bay stallion (RP 198 Grethel Caracú) but with tame walk, and today, we are using as stallion the first product born at Casamú, of rosy overo coat (Casamú 2 Caudillo) and of extraordinary tameness, a virtue highly appreciated.
The objective is to produce the necessary labor horses taking advantage of the pleasure and the ability of our personnel to domesticate them.

For aesthetic reasons and as a way to express and receive love, we have just continued with the breeding of purebred red and black Dachshund dogs of medium size. The lineage I had for 27 years, of which I deliver puppies everywhere, was terminated by the accidental death of the very fond of walking females. I always had such kind of dogs at my father’s house, so I have a great affection for them. I founded again the lineage of the “Isolditos” purchasing three purebred females and a purebred male from the renowned kennel Vanwoerden, recreating the Wagnerian operas with their names: Sigfrido, Brunilda, Waltraute and Siglinda. They have an excellent quality, with lineage winner at dog shows, a good temperament and are very friendly. We desire to introduce the commercial breeding to spread aesthetics and affection everywhere. They will be really advisable.

My great passion has always been vegetation which I could express with all the planting I have done throughout the field from the beginning, with a large amount and variety of well grouped species, trying to take the most of the low parts of the field and the sideways. The plantations are already eye-catching but will improve over time. I’m really happy I could do it!
Some years ago, since I retired as a veterinarian, I begun paying attention to my house garden that has already caught the attention of landscape gardeners and people fond of gardening that visit it from all over the country. I also received this year the Ombú de Oro awarded by the Revista Jardín by presenting the Pond of Water Lilies, with a recreation of an original aquatic garden inspired on such of Claudio Monet.
Finally, the last activity is related to poultry and ornamental birds. This activity began upon Ana’s desire to hear a cockerel singing. So, like everything I’m engaged in, I got involved in this new activity with variety and abundance, and today it is a constant presence for those visiting our home. I has created small breed batches: Sussex Armiñada, Barred Plymouth Rock, Tawny Orpington, silver Wyandotte, New Hampshire, Rhode island red, blue Andaluza, silver Fénix and the bantams: silver Sebright, black Rosecomb, golden and yellow Old English, plus the white crest black Dutch. The variety of singing tones and volumes conform a constant all-day orchestra, together with the gallinetas noise. The eggs produced are of all colors and sizes.
I has just built a wide cage for the ornamental birds that include blue peacocks, golden and silver pheasants, Lady Amherst and collar ones and partridges.
The reason for this activity is to reproduce them and let them free at the garden, as a complement to its natural beauty.
All these subjects I’m slightly mentioning will be included in other publications, but I want to include them since they are part of thirty years of Casamú.
